After finishing their Masters both Kit and Isabelle wanted one last hurrah before starting their careers and since both had been too busy to study abroad they figured backpacking through Europe was as good a way as any. Once they were there, starting in the UK and intending to work their way from the top of Scotland to the boot of Italy, they were quite determined to not let anything ruin that vacation.
But as luck would have it a plague akin to zombies happened to take over the UK while the two were sleeping and they were left not to enjoy a lazy vacation but had to figure out what exactly happened and how they were going to survive.
The two girls had plenty of luck, but they both knew they had just as much bad luck as good.

Isabelle
Isa just got her Masters in Geology, she is quite a fan of rock as well as rocks. She'd probably not be friends with Kit were it not for the fact that when moving into the dorms their first year in college she'd walked past Kit's room which practically had a line down the middle with one side in pastel pink and green and the other in navy and gold and and damask (Kit's side being a surprise as the navy and gold side) and just had to see who the two people who the opposites were. She also forever chuckles about how much Kit is inconvenienced by her choice in attire but still presses on with it.

Kit
Kit just finished her Masters in Museum Studies, her previous major being Psychology and is a fabulously frilly thing. She loves pretty things, that was why she got into Museum Studies to begin with as it meant she got to see lots of pretty old things. And touch them. Despite her love of being fabulous she can be a practical girl which would be the only reason she manages backpacking while wearing things that require petticoats and bloomers and all manner of different layers. She also is slightly superstitious, not being one to step under ladders and always finding some wood to knock on when needed. And she is just as amused with Isabelle not looking the part of geologist as Isabelle is amused with her.
Stirling
Stirling is an actor who never really made it big. He's always been able to live off of his acting career and he rather enjoyed being able to fly under the radar that being an A list celebrity wouldn't allow. He also has a major soft spot for his family, especially his aging mother who he visits every Sunday barring when off shooting a film. His favorite role was of a Roman Centurion but he is more known for his roles as the suave Lt. Davies and his short stint as Sherlock Holmes on the extremely popular TV series based off of the books. Just prior to the outbreak he was starring in a production of Othello in London.
